Kurt Walker is an independent filmmaker based in Toronto, ON. He makes movies concerned with connection, time, and obsolescence. His debut film, Hit 2 Pass (2014), received doclisboa鈥檚 Universidade Lus铆ada Award for Best International Competition Film. His 2022 film I Thought the World of You was described by Guy Maddin as 鈥渁 truly beautiful lyrical essay鈥� and later screened on MUBI.
Walker holds an MFA from York University and is an alumnus of the TIFF Filmmaker Lab. He is also a film editor, having edited Sophy Romvari鈥檚 acclaimed debut feature Blue Heron, which premiered at the 78th Locarno Film Festival and was subsequently distributed by Janus Films.
