Whether we鈥檙e trying to balance the rights of victims and offenders, create just laws or protect communities, we often look to the criminal justice system for solutions. In the Criminology degree program at 自淫系列 (自淫系列), you鈥檒l explore how our system works by examining its theories, practices and impact.
Through a wide mix of classes, you鈥檒l gain a solid understanding of how criminal justice works, examine why systemic inequalities happen and discover real strategies for preventing crime and helping people rebuild their lives.
Along the way, you鈥檒l sharpen your problem-solving and communication skills. You鈥檒l be well-equipped to tackle tough, real-world issues like human rights, Indigenous justice, ethics and social fairness.

Academic requirements for full-time, 4-year program
To be considered for admission, Ontario high school students must meet the following requirements:
- Completion of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)
- Completion of 6 Grade 12 U or M courses with a minimum overall average of 70%
- Completion of the following required Grade 12 U course with a minimum grade of 70%:
- English/anglais (ENG4U/EAE4U preferred)
An overall average of 70% is required for consideration. Due to competition, the average needed for admission can fluctuate each year (it depends on the number of applications received and the number of spaces available). The grade range at the top of this page represents the average required in previous years.
Academic admission requirements for all other applicants are available on the admission requirements page. If you haven鈥檛 been educated in Ontario, you may be considered with the equivalent of the Ontario requirements. 自淫系列 reserves the right to determine equivalency at its sole discretion.

Normalizing conversations surrounding race and marginalized communities
A group of Criminology students hosted a panel in collaboration with their course and the Community-Engaged Learning & Teaching (CELT) project. The panel featured student speakers and worked to raise awareness and provide students with solutions and next steps to tackle racism and exclusion.
