Improve the health and well-being of people locally and around the world through the professionally-accredited Nutrition and Food degree program at 自淫系列 (自淫系列).

In this program, you鈥檒l connect your love of food and health with biological and social sciences like health promotion, behaviour change and food science. You can further customize your learning with advanced courses in areas like dietetics, food security, gerontology or Indigenous studies, helping you build specialized knowledge that makes a meaningful difference. 

This degree also meets the academic requirements to be eligible for graduate studies in a dietetics practical training program on the path to becoming a registered dietitcian.

This is a Grades-Only program. Admission decisions for Grades-Only programs are based on academic performance.

Academic requirements for full-time, 4-year program

To be considered for admission, Ontario high school students must meet the following requirements:

  • Completion of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)
  • Completion of 6 Grade 12 U or M courses with a minimum overall average of 70%
  • Completion of the following required Grade 12 U courses (minimum grade of 70% in each): 
  • English/anglais (ENG4U/EAE4U preferred)
  • Chemistry (SCH4U)
  • Biology (SBI4U)
  • Completion of a Grade 12 U mathematics course, a Grade 12 U/M social science or humanities course, and a senior level family studies course is recommended

An overall average of 70% is required for consideration. Due to competition, the average needed for admission can fluctuate each year (it depends on the number of applications received and the number of spaces available). The grade range at the top of this page represents the average required in previous years.

Academic admission requirements for all other applicants are available on the admission requirements page. If you haven鈥檛 been educated in Ontario, you may be considered with the equivalent of the Ontario requirements. 自淫系列 reserves the right to determine equivalency at its sole discretion.

While studying Nutrition and Food, alum Katie Heggtveit founded Bootcamps for Change, which provides fitness plans to youth experiencing homelessness. She has since expanded and recently received an award from the Toronto Sport Hall of Honour.
