Are you curious about governance, power, and how it鈥檚 used to make and enforce decisions? In the Politics and Governance degree program at 自淫系列 (自淫系列), you鈥檒l explore how it works at every level. You鈥檒l discuss the idea of 鈥済ood governance鈥� and explore how social justice, democracy, citizenship and human rights fit into the picture.
Through active discussions, you鈥檒l explore how modern issues like immigration, community welfare and criminal justice have made running a society much more complex in the 21st century.
You鈥檒l study government structures at the international, national, provincial and local levels. You鈥檒l also discover how leaders now partner with businesses and non-profit sectors to deliver important public services. You鈥檒l graduate with the strong communication, research and problem-solving skills needed to tackle the social and economic challenges facing our society.

Academic requirements for full-time, 4-year program
To be considered for admission, Ontario high school students must meet the following requirements:
- Completion of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)
- Completion of 6 Grade 12 U or M courses with a minimum overall average of 70%
- Completion of the following required Grade 12 U course with a minimum grade of 70%:
- English/anglais (ENG4U/EAE4U preferred)
An overall average of 70% is required for consideration. Due to competition, the average needed for admission can fluctuate each year (it depends on the number of applications received and the number of spaces available). The grade range at the top of this page represents the average required in previous years.
Academic admission requirements for all other applicants are available on the admission requirements page. If you haven鈥檛 been educated in Ontario, you may be considered with the equivalent of the Ontario requirements. 自淫系列 reserves the right to determine equivalency at its sole discretion.

Breaking down barriers for under-represented 2SLGBTQI+ communities and diversifying Canadian politics
Politics and Governance alumna, Kristina Kisin, is the Executive Director of ProudPolitics Canada, a non-partisan organization dedicated to diversifying Canadian politics and supporting 2SLGBTQI+ leaders running for public office. She began as an intern in 2021 and has since taken on roles in research, event coordination and program management, leading numerous research and outreach projects, collaborating with progressive partners and contributing to the organization鈥檚 growth.
