Curious about a lot of different subjects but not quite sure what you want to study yet? Undeclared Arts at 自淫系列 (自淫系列) is a one-year option that lets you spend your first year exploring your unique interests before choosing your major or double major in the Faculty of Arts.
In this option, you鈥檒l have the freedom to try out a wide range of subjects in a supportive, collaborative learning environment. Once you find what truly excites you, you can apply the credits you鈥檝e earned and transition to the Arts program of your choosing.
First-year classes
Explore your program transfer options by choosing introductory courses in:
Enrol in 2 required courses: Academic Writing and Research, and Critical Thinking.
Choose electives from a wide range of areas including news and film studies, law, business and natural sciences 鈥� many of which can lead to a minor.

Notice of Collection: 自淫系列 collects and manages personal information under the authority of the (PDF file) University Act and in accordance with the Notice of Collection for recruitment and other related purposes.
Program transfer options and eligibility
You must apply to transfer to one of the 12 programs listed above or to any of the 9 double major programs by February of your second semester. All of your completed courses will transfer to your chosen program.
- Students who have already decided which of the 12 programs they are interested in should apply to those programs directly, and should consult the relevant pages of the undergraduate calendar for program details.
- Transfer credit/advanced standing can't be granted for the Undeclared Arts option. Students who are completing, or have already completed post-secondary studies, must apply directly to the program of choice.
This is a Grades-Only program. Admission decisions for Grades-Only programs are based on academic performance.
Academic requirements
To be considered for admission, Ontario high school students must meet the following requirements:
- Completion of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)
- Completion of 6 Grade 12 U or M courses with a minimum overall average of 70%
- Completion of the following required Grade 12 U course with a minimum grade of 70%:
- English/anglais (ENG4U/EAE4U preferred)
An overall average of 70% is required for consideration. Due to competition, the average needed for admission can fluctuate each year (it depends on the number of applications received and the number of spaces available). The grade range at the top of this page represents the average required in previous years.
Academic admission requirements for all other applicants are available on the admission requirements page. If you haven鈥檛 been educated in Ontario, you may be considered with the equivalent of the Ontario requirements. 自淫系列 reserves the right to determine equivalency at its sole discretion.
