Admission Guidelines
The admission requirements for the Post Diploma Degree Completion program in Disability Studies are:
1. 燗 Diploma in Developmental Services Worker or other disability studies related fields and disciplines (e.g., Social Service Worker), from a public Ontario College, with a concentration in the area of disability. The diploma must include a one-year (or equivalent) introductory university-level humanities or social science course or equivalent.
AND
2. 燭wo years (or equivalent) related work/advocacy experience. Applicants without this may be accepted, but must either complete DST 80A/B: Practicum in Disability Studies in the program or apply for exemption if achieved while in the program.

Notes:

Applicants are required to present a cumulative grade point average of 70%/B/3.0 or higher for admission consideration.

Acceptable Ontario College Diploma and Advanced Diploma programs include: 燙hild and Youth Worker, Community Worker, Community Development Work, Community Worker - Outreach and Development, Early Childhood Education, Educational Support/Educational Assistant/Educational Assistant - Special Needs Support, Intervenor for Deaf-Blind Persons, Mental Health and Addiction Worker, and 燬ocial Service Worker.

Other disability-related Ontario College Diploma and Advanced Diploma programs will be considered on and individual basis.

Applicants with less than a 'B' average in a public Ontario College Diploma program may be asked to complete up to two (2) single-term university level liberal studies courses prior to admission. Applicants with other post-secondary academic backgrounds and extensive work experience in the field may be considered on an individual basis.�
Admission Procedures
Applicants are required to submit the following directly to燯ndergraduate Admissions and Recruitment (in addition to their online application and Supplementary Form). �

Academic transcripts爋f all post-secondary studies,爄ncluding promotion/graduation status. High School transcripts are not required;

Letters from employers to document work experience;

Resume of work/advocacy experience;

A letter explaining how attending this program will benefit the applicant.
Students are admitted three times a year, in the fall, winter and spring/summer semesters.
